MACOMB, Ill.
- The Oral Roberts University men's soccer team ended
regular-season play on Saturday with a 2-0 loss at Western
Illinois. The Golden Eagles finished the season with a 6-9-2
overall record and a 2-3-1 Summit League mark.
The contest
remained scoreless until the 55th minute, when Western Illinois'
Jona Andrade converted on a free kick from 20 yards out for his
sixth goal of the season.
Cosimo
Patano put the match out of contention at the 84:23 mark, recording
his fourth goal of the season from 10 yards out off an assist from
James Raabe.
The Golden
Eagles edged the Leathernecks in shots by a 15-13 margin. Senior
Gary Duran (Santa Cruz, Bolivia) led ORU
in his final contest with four shots.
