Tulsa, Okla. --Caton Hill scored 17 points and
grabbed 13 rebounds, and Oral Roberts University endured its second
straight tough shooting night as No. 23 Oklahoma handed the Golden
Eagles a 70-42 defeat in the Bertha Teague Classic, Saturday at the
Reynolds center.
Oklahoma (2-1) limited the Golden Eagles (1-1) to 30 percent
shooting for the game. ORU, which shot just 29.3 percent from the
field in Friday's win over Oklahoma State, was 3-for-21 from
3-point range.
Despite the poor shooting, ORU once again was strong on the boards,
out-rebounding Oklahoma 43-39. Stephanie Clark (Artesia, NM) led
the way for the Golden Eagles with 11 points and a game-high 14
rebounds. Leah Cannon (Adelaide, Australia) scored 11 points and
Cori Williston (Tulsa Victory) added 10.
Oklahoma led 36-18 at halftime.
The Golden Eagles open their home season when they host Tulsa, 7:05
